UNIVERSE
Acclaimed designer Fanny Aronsen (1955-2011) grew up in Sweden, before going on to work and travel in several different countries. Her Scandinavian background and international experience is often juxtaposed in her designs, which transcend cultural and historical borders.
After starting work as a designer, Fanny Aronsen quickly became recognised for her innovative contemporary designs, which combine luxuriously tactile materials, intriguing textures and individual colours.
Fanny Aronsen’s designs have won several awards, including the German Rote Punkt, the Swedish Utmärkt Svensk Form, and the Dutch Mobila Innovative Prijs and Goed Industrieel Ontwerp.
In addition to her work as a designer, Fanny Aronsen was a professor at the University of Stockholm between 2003 and 2010, where she lectured at the renowned Konstfack - University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.
